Dr. Sharif M N U Bhuiyan is an Independent Director to the Board of Prime Bank PLC, and a member of the Audit Committee of the Board.

He is an Advocate of the Supreme Court of Bangladesh and a Founder Partner and Deputy Head of the law firm of Dr. Kamal Hossain and Associates. He was Honorary Director of the South Asian Institute of Advanced Legal and Human Rights Studies (2007-14), Co-Rapporteur of the Committee on International Trade Law, International Law Association (2009-14) and Visiting Fellow at the Lauterpacht Centre for International Law, University of Cambridge, UK (2006). He has an LL.M. degree in commercial law and a Ph.D. degree in international law from the University of Cambridge. He is the author of National Law in WTO Law: Effectiveness and Good Governance in the World Trading System (Cambridge University Press, 2007), coeditor of International Law and Developing Countries (Brill Nijhoff, 2014) and author of many articles in internationally published books and journals. He practices in a wide range of areas, including, banking and finance. He is consistently ranked as a top tier legal practitioner by international practitioners’ directories, Chambers Global and Chambers Asia Pacific.
