Prime Bank Receives Financial Branding Award
Prime Bank received Financial Branding Award for its excellent services for the year 2017. Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank Syed Faridul Islam received the award from Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister Nurul Islam BSc in a function in Dhaka held recently organized by Centre for NRB chaired by M S Shekil Chowdhury.
Prime Bank celebrates Earth Day 2018
Prime Bank celebrated “Earth Day-2018” and arranged the tree plantation program recently. To mark the occasion, Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank Syed Faridul Islam & Md. Touhidul Alam Khan and SEVP Mohd. Rafat Ullah Khan planted trees at Gulshan Branch premise and other branches of the Bank also planted trees at their premises. In addition, Bank offered to the customers for free internet banking facility for 1st year if registration is made during 22 April to 31 May, 2018.
Prime Bank Celebrates 23rd Anniversary
Managing Director of Prime Bank Rahel Ahmed cuts a cake to mark the bank’s 23rd Anniversary at Head Office on April 17, 2018. Additional Managing Director Habibur Rahman, Deputy Managing Directors - Md. Golam Rabbani, Syed Faridul Islam and Mohammad Habibur Rahman Chowdhury along with the other senior officials of the Bank were also present on the occasion.
Prime Bank Donates Taka 5.00 Crore to “Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund”
Chairman of Executive Committee of Prime Bank Quazi Sirazul Islam hands over the donation cheque of Tk.5.00 Crore to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at Gono Bhaban on 13th April for the “Prime Minister’s Relief and Welfare Fund”. Managing Director of the Bank Rahel Ahmed was also present on the occasion.
Prime Bank Arranges Syndicated Term Facility Of Bdt 1.44 Billion For Hashem Rice Mills Ltd

Prime Bank arranged its 30thsyndication deal as Lead Arranger through raising BDT 1.44 Billion to implement the auto rice mill project of Hashem Rice Mills Limited, one of the concerns of Sajeeb Group, on, 5th April at a local hotel in the city. Prime Bank along with five (5) more financial institutions namely Bank Asia Limited, BASIC Bank Limited, Pubali Bank Limited, SABINCO and Trust Bank Limited participated in the syndication.

Rahel Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Prime Bank Limited, M. A. Halim Chowdhury, Managing Director & CEO of Pubali Bank Limited, Faruq Mainuddin Ahmed, Managing Director & CEO of Trust Bank Limited, Muhammad Awal Khan, Managing Director of BASIC Bank Limited, Shafiuzzaman, Senior Executive Vice President of Bank Asia Limited, Ahmed Ehsanul Karim, Deputy Managing Director of SABINCO and Md. Abul Hashem, Chairman of Hashem Rice Mills Ltd. inked the agreement on behalf of their organizations. Among others, Hasib Bin Hashem, Tareq Ibrahim, Faiza Ibrahim sponsors & Rezaul Karim, CFO of Sajeeb Group and other high officials of respective organization were also present on the occasion.

Mentionable that the project under the syndication will be established at Godagari, Rajshahi and the total fixed cost of the project is estimated to be BDT 2.06 billion which would be financed at a debt-equity ratio of 70:30.The production capacity of the project will be 40 MT per hour (192,000 MT/annum). Most of the machinery & equipment of the project will be of European brand and the project is expected to create employment opportunities for more than 200 personnel of various categories.

Habibur Rahman New Additional Managing Director of Prime Bank

Mr. Habibur Rahman has been promoted to the position of AMD of the Bank. Prior to his promotion, he was DMD of the same Bank.

Mr. Rahman has been associated with the Banking Industry for about 33 years having gathered multi-functional experience with special focus on Foreign Correspondent banking relationship. He started his banking career with AB Bank in 1985. In 1986, Mr. Rahman joined Central Bank as Assistant Director. He worked there for long 20 years in the BRPD, FEPD, FEID, FEOD, DBI in different capacities. Prior to joining Prime Bank, he held the position of DGM of Foreign Exchange Operation Department. Mr. Rahman joined Prime Bank in the year 2006 as SVP and worked in MD’s Secretariat, Export Finance, International Division, ADC, Retail Banking, Treasury, SME, ICCD & FMD.

Training program on Risk Management and Asset Liability Management (ALM) in Banks.
Touhidul Alam Khan, Deputy Managing Director & Chief Business Officer of Prime Bank gave poses with the participants in training session on “Risk Management and Asset Liability Management (ALM) in Banks” arranges by Bangladesh Institute of Bank Management (BIBM) recently. Md. Nehal Ahmed, Professor, BIBM was the coordinator of the workshop.
Prime Bank became Participating Financial Institution (PFI) for refinance program of SMEDP2
Prime Bank became Participating Financial Institution (PFI) for refinance program of SMEDP2 (Small and Medium Enterprise Development Project 2) implemented by Financial Inclusion Department (FID) of Bangladesh Bank. Abul Bashar, GM of FID, Bangladesh Bank and Syed M Omar Tayub, EVP and Head of MSME Banking Division, Prime Bank along with senior officials from respective organization attended the agreement signing ceremony at central bank in this regard recently.
Training Program on Prevention of-Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing

Prime Bank’s AML & CFT Division recently arranged a day long training program on ‘Prevention of Money Laundering & Terrorist Financing’ at a local hotel in Mymensingh. Kazi Aktarul Islam, General Manager, Bagladesh Bank, Mymensingh Office was present as key resource person. Kazi Mahmood Karim, SEVP and CAMLCO of the Bank delivered the welcome speech in the inaugural session. Prime Bank, Mymensingh Branch has given their logistic support for arranging the training program. The branch officials of Mymensingh region took part in the training program.

Prime Bank National School Cricket Tournament of Dhaka Metro Starts
Prime Bank Young Tigers National School Cricket Tournament of Dhaka Metro area started at the field of Zahurul Haq Hall of Dhaka University on Sunday where 32 schools participated. Mohammed Ehsan Habib, Company Secretary of Prime Bank inaugurated the tournament as Chief Guest. Md. Moniruzzaman, Head of C&PARD;, Noor Hossain Zakaria, Head of Marketing of Prime Bank, Abu Emam Mohammed Kawsar, Manager, Game Development, Bangladesh Cricket Board were also present on the occasion.

About 554 schools participated in this tournament in the country.
