Annual Sports Competition of Prime Campus
The annual sports day of Prime Campus, the English medium school of Prime Bank Foundation was held on 8 December at Uttara Sector-4 Park. Chairman of the Bank and Prime Bank Foundation Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah inaugurated the sports competition as the chief guest. Director of the Bank and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Prime Bank Foundation K. M. Khaled, Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank Foundation Dr. Iqbal Anwar and Principal of Prime Campus Dr. William C. Engels.

Prime Campus was established to make high-quality, value-oriented education more accessible to all classes of the society. Based on international standards and theory, Prime Campus has been promoting the holistic development of its students and preparing them to succeed in todays highly competitive global environment.

Prime Bank Foundation, being the non-profit subsidiary of Prime Bank Limited has been delivering various types of social services as part of the Banks corporate social responsibilities since its establishment. Prime Campus, the high quality English Medium School is its outstanding addition to its CSR activities located at House 11, Road 20/C, Sector 04, Uttara, Dhaka.
A Corporate Agreement between Prime Bank Limited and Apollo Hospital
A Corporate Agreement signed between Prime Bank Limited and Apollo Hospital on 5th December, 2011. Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank Limited Isbahul Bar Chowdhury and GM of Business Development of Apollo Hospital Dr. Shagufa Anwar signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organizations. Consequently, the Debit and Credit cardholders of Prime Bank Limited will be entitled to enjoy all the corporate facilities covered by the agreement from now.

Others present during the ceremony were Head of Cards & VP A.H. Majumder , AVP Farid Ahmed, FAVP Quazi Anwarul Azim of Prime Bank Limited and DGM of Business development & Project Syed Raihan, Deputy Manager Mahfuz Alam , Corporate Executive Mohammad Asharaful Hossain and other officials of Apollo Hospital.
Prime Bank arranges workshop for SME Entrepreneur
Prime Bank Limited arranged workshop for SME Entrepreneur on 1st Dec,2011 at Prime Bank HR Training & Development Center. Bangladesh Bank General Manager of SME and Special Programmes Department Sukamal Sinha Choudhury was present on the workshop as chief guest. Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank I B Chowdhury was present on the occasion as special guest. Head of SME Division SEVP Shawkat Hossain presided over the workshop. In this workshop, 28 entrepreneurs are trained to keep recording, aware entrepreneur about benefit of record keeping and how to maintain financial record by a small business.

Bangladesh Bank General Manager of SME and Special Programmes Department Sukamal Sinha Choudhury focused on the significance of SME Entrepreneur in the economy. He also thanked the management of the Bank for arranging the workshop.

Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank I B Chowdhury assured the entrepreneur to solve different problem arose on the speeches of the entrepreneur.

Head of SME and SEVP Shawkat Hossain focused on different system of investment and essential working procedure to get maximum benefit.

Head of Business and FAVP Md.Emdad Hossain emphasized on how to develop in business by keeping necessary papers and checking accounts in the workshop.

The workshop ended with certificate and prize distribution ceremony.
Prime Bank's Annual Business Review Meeting Held
The Annual Business Review Meeting of Prime Bank Limited was held on 19th November, 2011 at the Dhaka Regency Hotel & Resort of the Capital. Chairman of the Board of Directors, Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah inaugurated the function as the chief guest. Executive Committee Chairman Mafiz Ahmed Bhuiyan was present as the special guest while Directors of the Bank- Quazi Sirazul Islam, M A Wahhab and Firoza Amin were present among the guests. Managing Director Md. Ehsan Khasru presided over the meeting.

Prime Bank Chairman Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah asked attention of all concerned to make the cluster management more effective after the successful implementation of the cluster system in the Bank. He requested the mentors to make their respective clusters more potential and dynamic through best utilizing their human resources by attaching them with new ideas and concepts of Banking Sector.

Mentors of different clusters presented the business summary of their respective clusters along with the strengths as well as weaknesses of their business performances in the meeting. Besides, the strategy & business target for 2011 were also discussed in the meeting. SEVP and Head of Human Resources Division Quazi A.S.M. Anisul Kabir delivered the welcome speech at the occasion.

Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank- Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, Md. Golam Rabbani and Muhammad Yasin Ali along with the Heads of Branches and concerned Divisional Heads participated in the meeting.
Prime Bank's Road Show Kicks Off
Prime Bank Limited has launched a Road Show for showcasing different deposit products and services of the bank to procure more low cost, no cost funds for the Bank. Managing Director of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru inaugurated the Road Show on 17 October, 2011 at the head office premises of the Bank. Deputy Managing Directors of the Bank M. Reazul Karim, Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury, Isbahul Bar Chowdhury, Md. Golam Rabbani and Md. Yasin Ali, SEVP Shawkat Hossain, SVPs-Ferdousi Sultana and Md. Mashiur Rahman and other concerned officials of the Bank were present at the inaugural ceremony.

Named as Save, Hold and Win, this new concept of Marketing will give the customers a privilege of not only getting desired services at the Banks branches, but also through the bank officials who will go to customers door to door and provide them with all the information they need.

Managing Director of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru said, through this road show, existing and future customers willing to take products and services of Prime Bank will have detail insight into the service portfolios of the Bank like Deposit Accounts, Retail Loan, Remittance Services, Credit Cards etc. as well as will be able to deposit their hard earned money at the best bank of the country.

The Road Show will continue till 29 December, 2011. It will cover branches of Prime Bank in Dhaka, Khulna and Rajshahi Divisions. The main focus of the road show will be collecting deposits for the Bank.
Prime Bank Achieved Best Bank Award in ICAB National Award'10
Prime Bank Limited was awarded the Best Bank by ICAB (Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh) on the basis of evaluation of Best Published Accounts and Reports, 2010 in the Banking Category. Managing Director of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru received the award of Best Bank from the Commerce Minister & Chief Guest of the prize giving ceremony Muhammad Faruk Khan on 4th October, 2011 at a city hotel.

In the banking sector subject to prudential supervision category, Prime Bank has won this award for eight times in total since inception of the award in 2001 and seven times in a row.
Prime Bank Foundation Supports Underprivileged but Meritorious Students
An Award Giving Ceremony of Prime Bank Foundation was arranged on 28 September, 2011 at BIAM Foundation, Dhaka to handover the stipends of its Education Support Programme. Barrister Rafique-ul-Haque, Senior Advocate, Bangladesh Supreme Court was present as the chief guest and distributed the cheques of 1st installment to the students. Professor Jamilur Reza Choudhury and Professor Abdullah Abu Sayeed, Educationists, were present at the occasion as the special guests. Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah, Chairman, Prime Bank Limited presided over the award giving ceremony. Amongst others Md. Nader Khan, Former Chairman of the Bank, K. M. Khaled, Chairman, Executive Committee, Prime Bank Foundation, Ehsan Khasru, Managing Director of Prime Bank and Dr. Iqbal Anwar, Chief Executive Officer, Prime Bank Foundation also spoke on the occasion. Father Benjamin Costa, Principal, Notre Dame College, high officials of the Bank and a number of distinguished guests from other banks and corporate houses attended the program.

Apart from the commercial banking operation, Prime Bank Limited through its Foundation is simultaneously playing a pivotal role in the society as a part of its Corporate Social Responsibilities. Prime Bank Foundation is providing long-term financial support to the underprivileged but meritorious students through Education Support Programme which started in 2007. First year the Foundation awarded 170 students, second year 122 students, third year 198 students, fourth year 196 students and this year another 205 students have been awarded. The total recipients of Prime Bank Foundation stipends stood at a total of 891.

This year a total of 205 students from different educational institutions of the country are receiving stipends of Tk. 2,000/- per month for the pursuing their studies in graduation level. Their stipends are expected to be continued till the end of their studies as they have applied for.
Prime Bank Opens 59th ATM Booth at Motijheel
Prime Bank opened its 59th ATM booth at Motijheel RAJUK Avenue, Dhaka on 26th September, 2011. Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah inaugurated the booth as the chief guest. Managing Director of Prime Bank Ehsan Khasru, Deputy Managing Director Isbahul Bar Chowdhury, Senior Executive Vice President Md. Monawar Hossain, Executive Vice President Md. Iqbal Hossain, Executive Vice President Farhad Uddin, Senior Vice President Ferdousi Sultana and Vice President Salahuddin Ahmed of the Bank were also present at the moment.

Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah said Prime Bank is gradually expanding its technology based banking facilities through ATM, not only in the urban areas but also in the rural areas of the country.

Managing Director of the Bank Ehsan Khasru said, through ATM booth customers can withdraw their money as well as know their accounts status by mini statements. Besides, the Bank is facilitating its customers to deposit their money and pay utility bills through its financial kiosks.
Prime Bank Opens 58th ATM Booth at Khulna
Prime Bank Limited opened its 58th ATM booth at the port city Khulna on 20th September, 2011. Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah inaugurated the booth adjacent to the branch as the chief guest. This is the first ATM booth of Prime Bank in Khulna.

Head of Khulna branch SVP Sheikh Anisuzzaman and AVP Md. Mizanur Rahman were present at the occasion. The chief guest requested the cooperation of the people of Khulna for the Banks progress by and large.

Customers, businessmen and social elites participated the inauguration program.

Noteworthy that the Bank is going to set up another two ATM booths and service centers at two other locations in Khulna including the New Market area. Customers of the Bank would be able to deposit and withdraw their money as well as get other financial services through ATM and Kiosks in these booths and service centers.
Md. Ehsan Khasru Joins Prime Bank as Managing Director
Md. Ehsan Khasru has joined Prime Bank Limited as Managing Director on 15 September, 2011. Prior to joining Prime Bank Limited, Mr. Khasru was Additional Managing Director of The City Bank Ltd.

Mr. Khasru started his illustrious banking career as a Probationary Officer in National Bank Ltd. in 1983. Before joining as Marketing Manager (Relationship) in Business & Corporate Banking Division of American Express Bank during 1992 to 1999, he served National Credit & Commerce Bank Ltd. for some time. In 2000, he moved abroad and worked in the Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal as a Senior Manager (Relationship) and Financial Services Manager respectively till 2007.

Mr. Khasru returned from abroad in 2007 and joined Eastern Bank as the Head of Credit Risk Management. Subsequently in 2008, he joined The City Bank Ltd. as SEVP and Head of Credit Risk Management where he received elevation twice in three years. During this time he was promoted as Additional Managing Director from the rank of Deputy Managing Director for his contribution as the Chief Risk Officer of the bank.

An MBA in Marketing from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), University of Dhaka in 1982, Mr. Khasru also obtained his Bachelor (Hons) in Economics from Dhaka University in 1979.

Mr. Khasru, son of Late Suzauddin come off the distinguished family of Jamaluddin Mazumder Bari of Sonapur village in the Feni Sadar Upazila.

Mr. Khasru is proud father of three sons.
