CRISL reaffirms Credit Rating of Prime Bank Limited to "AA+" and "ST-1"
CRISL has reaffirmed both the long term and short term credit ratings of Prime Bank Limited to "AA+" and "ST-1" respectively based on consolidated financial statements for the year ended 31st December 2011 and other relevant qualitative and quantitative information. CRISL also foresees no significant change/ volatility in its operation in near future and placed the bank with “Stable Outlook” for the next one year. The long term rating implies that banks rated in this category are adjudged to be of high quality, offer higher safety and have high credit quality. The short-term rating indicates highest certainty of timely payment, strong internal fund generation and access to alternative sources of fund is outstanding. Safety is almost like risk free Government short-term obligations.
Prime Bank Organizes Discussion on "Managing Hajj & Our Duties"
Prime Bank Limited organized an exchange of views with the Hajj Agents on 31st May at a hotel in the capital titled “Managing Hajj & Our Duties” to explore the best and smooth management of Hajj this year. Managing Director of Prime Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru presided over the meeting while President of Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh, HAAB Alhaj Jamal Uddin Ahmed was present as the chief guest in the meeting. Additional Managing Director M. Reazul Karim, Deputy Managing Director Ahmed Kamal Khan Chowdhury and other high officials of Prime Bank were also present at the occasion. A good number of Hajj Agents participated the discussion and shared their opinions about the flawless Hajj management in 2012.

The Managing Director of the Bank Md. Ehsan Khasru elaborated the Bank’s services for the Hajj Agents and assured them of the best possible supports of the Bank to make Hajj 2012 arrangements successful. The President of HAAB expressed his satisfaction over the services provided by Prime Bank regarding Hajj arrangements.
Prime Bank Limited Celebrate "Boishakhi Mela – Trade Fair & Expo 2012 in UK"
Prime Bank Limited and it’s fully owned subsidiary PBL Exchange (UK) Limited had taken part in the 14th annual Boishakhi Mela – Trade Fair & Expo, organized by BMCT on the 19th & 20th of May 2012 at Weavers Field, London, UK. The two day extravaganza saw thousands of people from the Bangla Community celebrate the joyous arrival of Bangla New Year 1419.

Products & Services of Prime Bank Limited and PBL Exchange (UK) Limited were introduced to the visitors. In addition to general fair goers, there were also community leaders who visited the stall and wished good regards to Prime Bank Limited for taking initiative to introduce a Bangladeshi Bank in the local community through such an event. Prime Bank Celebrates Anniversary Month
Prime Bank Limited celebrated its 17th anniversary with the strong commitments to bring in mobility in the country’s economy and establish the bank at international standard by eliminating the recessionary challenges through the future business strategies of the Bank. The Bank organized a get together with its valued customers and other stakeholders at a city hotel in Dhaka on 19 May. Chairman of the Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah was present on the occasion as the chief guest. Managing Director Md. Ehsan Khasru delivered the welcome address. Deputy Managing Director Md. Tabarak Hossain Bhuiyan also delivered speech on the occasion.

The month long anniversary celebration of the Bank that started on 17th April ended with the get together program.

Members of the board of Directors, former chairmen & directors of the Bank along with renowned businessmen, CEOs and chairmen of different banking and financial institutions, multinational companies and high officials of govt. and autonomous organizations also attended the function.

The program ended with a delightful cultural show followed by dinner.

Prime Bank Limited achieved "The Daily Star-DHL Bangladesh Business Award-2011" in the category of Best Financial Institution. Md. Ehsan Khasru, Managing Director of Prime Bank Limited received the award from Finance Minister Abul Maal Abdul Muhith at a city hotel on May 18, 2012.
Prime Bank Cricket Club Launched
Prime Bank organized an action packed gorgeous program on the eve of launching Prime Bank Cricket Club (PBCC) on 14th May at a city hotel in Dhaka. President of Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) AHM Mustafa Kamal MP declared the launch of the club at the occasion as the chief guest. The Chairman of Prime Bank Md. Shirajul Islam Mollah was present as the special guest. Originator of the club, former Chairman of the Bank Azam J Chowdhury also delivered speech on the occasion. Secretary General of PBCC, Vice Chairman of Executive Committee of the Bank Tanjil Chowdhury delivered welcome speech. Chief Executive Officer of Prime Bank Foundation Dr. Iqbal Anwar delivered the vote of thanks. Directors of the Bank, Additional Managing Director, Deputy Managing Directors, other high officials of Prime Bank and Members of the cricket club were also present at the occasion.

Prime Bank has acquired the ownership rights of the Old DOHS Cricket Club of Dhaka Premier Division League in 2011 which will be known as Prime Bank Cricket Club from now on. This is the first step toward the Banks ambition to help and develop cricket in Bangladesh.

The speakers on the occasion said, Prime Bank achieved an outstanding reputation as a sound franchise that has placed it as a leading commercial bank in Bangladesh. It has clearly made its mark in the area of corporate social responsibility with its milestone efforts in nation building in the education, health and sports sectors.

They also hoped that Prime Bank Cricket Club will create an enabling environment in cricket to help cricketers grow mentally, physically and technically. It will also enable the budding cricketers of the country to perform better day by day and will develop them for the international level.

They said, the Bank will establish a state of the art cricket academy based on this club with all the required facilities and technologies and train up the upcoming & talented cricketers of the country. Prime Bank will not only train the cricketers but also will keep them attached with academic institutions for their intellectual growth.

Prime Banks 57th Foundation Training Course Concludes
The closing ceremony of the 57th Foundation Training Course for Trainee Assistants (Cash) of Prime Bank Limited was held at the HR Training & Development Center of the Bank recently. Chief Guest of the program Additional Managing Director of the Bank M. Reazul Karim and special guest Head of HR, SVP Md. Iftekhar Hossain are seen in the picture along with the participants. Head of HR-TDC & SVP Md. Fakhrul Islam was the Coordinator of the training program.
Quazi A. S. M. Anisul Kabir promoted to DMD in Prime Bank
Quazi A. S. M. Anisul Kabir has been promoted to Deputy Managing Director of Prime Bank Limited with effect from 17th April, 2012. Prior to promotion as DMD, Mr. Kabir was the Senior Executive Vice President and Head of Banks Motijheel Branch, Dhaka.

Mr. Kabir started his glorious banking career with the Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited in 1986 as Probationary Officer. Later on he switched to Prime Bank Limited in 1995 and has a very successful career progression and handled multidimensional assignments including providing leadership in major functional areas in the Bank at various points in time. During his long tenure of 26 years of service, he mastered skill, knowledge and expertise in every aspects of banking activities. His proven track records in strategic planning, goal setting, leadership, decision making and crisis management have made him an integral part of Top Management of the Bank.

During his long journey with the Prime Bank Limited, Mr. Kabir worked in different capacities and responsibilities at different Branches and Divisions at Head Office. Mr. Kabir attended various Training Programs and Workshops in China, India, Singapore and Malaysia.

Mr. Kabir was born in a noble Muslim Family in Rajbari. He completed post-graduation in Geology from the University of Dhaka. He also achieved his Masters in Business Administration from the Bangladesh Open University.
